Damn, Erskine! You have an uncanny knack, a real gift, if you will, for writing down what many, if not most of us feel. Your scribblings today would make Ms. Parton giggle - and that’s high praise indeed!

Tennessee lost their light when Dolly left… there are so many reminders throughout here.. sorry we never met her in person 😢. Her kindness is unmatched 🩷.

I was about to quibble/correct you on Cleo's snake of choice, but looking up "asp" I see it is an antiquated word for Egyptian Cobra. Ok. You win. Your research, as always, is flawless....like Dolly herself. Mix beauty, talent, sweetness, humility, kindness, empathy, humor, wisdom, generosity with a dash of darling dimples thrown in and pack it all into a rhinestone, skintight outfit and finish it off with a mile high blonde wig and you've got One of a Kind, Never See Her Like Again Dolly. Thank you, Lord. What a role model. What a gift.

One of my favorite moments in the many and various appreciations and commemorations to Dolly Parton over the last week, is a clip of Dolly singing Vac-cine, vac-cine, vac-cee-ine to the tune of "Jolene." I believe that the vax version of "Jolene" was a promotion during COVID-19.

She was a great lady wrapped up in rhinestones and blonde bouffant wigs. Thank you for your tribute to Dolly Parton, Mr Erskine!

I think only us oldsters get the references Harlequinn and Hootnenanny :)

Beautifully written Chris-and of course Dolly makes everything better! She’s proof that you can be classy, kind, talented and hilarious all at the same time. What a treasure. She truly was one of a kind!

Uh-oh! Will Angie be jealous over your gushing about Dolly? Beautifully said, sir! We've lost an angel.

Both tigers. Both worthy of our love.

PS I was surprised to learn that Dolly owned a little cottage in quaint little Danish Solvang, with a miniature windmill in her front yard. The fact that this was where she chose to live when in California, instead of Beverly Hills or Montecito, tells you all you need to know about her authenticity.

Lovely tribute to Dolly! And why did they let Kyle Schwarber go?!

Defies logic, Marvelle!
