Here’s a game I just invented, for dinner parties or bar debates, guaranteed to shake-and-stir any conversation.
Pick a topic.
Name your Mt. Rushmore.
For example, when Chicago legend Mike Ditka died the other day, I suggested that he belongs on Chicago’s Mt. Rushmore with Old Man Daley, George Halas and Dick Butkus.
Other Chicagoans would dispute that. They’d want to put Walter Payton up there, Ernie Banks, Bobby Hull, Harry Caray, John Belushi or Mike Royko. Even Oprah, that big blowhard.
To be fair, half the people I mention were blowhards, especially Ditka.
Yet, I’d suggest that a city is only as good as its Mt. Rushmore.
